Incoloy 800

The CR content in the 800 alloy is usually 15-25%, the nickel content is 30-45% and contains a small amount of aluminum and titanium.
800 alloy is in the Austenite single area after high temperature and fast cooling, therefore, the use state is single austenite organization.
The alloy has high chromium content and enough nickel content, so it has high high temperature corrosion resistance, and is used more in industry.
In the chloride, low concentration of NaOH aqueous solution and high temperature and high pressure water, has excellent stress corrosion cracking performance, so used for the production of stress-resistant corrosion cracking equipment.

Incoloy 800 has the following characteristics:

Metallographic Structure of Incoloy 800:
Incoloy 800 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.Extremely low carbon content and increased ti:c ratios increase structural stability, maximum resistance to sensitization, and intergranular corrosion resistance.Low temperature annealing of around 950 ℃ ensures fine grain structure.

Corrosion resistance of Incoloy 800:

Incoloy 800 resists corrosion in many corrosive media.Its high nickel content makes it have good anti-stress corrosion cracking performance in water-based corrosion conditions.High chromium content makes it more resistant to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion cracking properties.The alloy has good resistance to nitric acid and organic acids, but has limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.In addition to the possibility of pitting corrosion in the halide, in the oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts have a good corrosion resistance.It also has good corrosion resistance in the mixture of water, vapor and steam, air and carbon dioxide.

Incoloy 800 Process performance and requirements:
Thermal processing:
1, temperature range 1200℃~950℃, cooling mode for water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2, in order to get the best performance and creep resistance, after hot processing to be solid solution treatment.
3, the material can be directly fed into the furnace has been heated to 1200 ℃, warm enough time after the rapid-baked, in the specified temperature range for thermal processing.Re-heating is required when the material temperature drops below the thermal processing temperature.

Cold processing
1, the processing hardening rate is greater than austenitic stainless steel, it is necessary to select the processing equipment.The cold processing material should be the solid solution heat treatment State, and in the cold processing quantity is large, should carry on the intermediate annealing.
2, if the cold processing amount is greater than 10%, the workpiece needs to be two times solution.

Incoloy800 Welding Process
Suitable for any traditional welding process with the same material or other metal welding, such as Tungsten Electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal electrode inert gas shielded welding, melting pole inert gas shielded welding, wherein pulsed arc welding is the preferred solution.If manual arc welding is used, it is recommended to use (AR+HE+H2+CO2) as a protective gas.

For applications up to 500 ℃, the supply state of the alloy is annealed.
